UK Top 40 Game Chart: Mario Kart is Still Leading The Pack

Posted on Apr 24, 2008 01:24:24 AM

Thanks to Eurogame for the article.

Mario Kart has held onto the top spot in the UK All Formats Chart for the second week running.

It was chased eagerly by the legs of Mario & Sonic at the Olympics at position 2, and the shiny tyres of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue at position 3.

A sporty pair of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 and SEGA Superstars Tennis followed at 4 and 5 respectively, with shooters Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Call of Duty 4 next in line.

Fresh entry UEFA Euro 2008 managed to take 8 - probably feeling the sales-glut from England not qualifying for the competition.

Dr. Kawashima climbed back into the charts with Brain Training at 9, while Guitar Hero III and its frustrating final set-list rounded off the pile at 10.

New entries of note were Time Crisis 4 and its PS3 light-gun at 24, plus another forgettable Sims 2 expansion to do with kitchens and bathrooms at 20.

Big movers were Rayman Raving Rabbids up from 32 to 22, while Dark Sector fell from 13 to 26 and Viking: Battle for Asgard tumbled from 16 to 29.

Those fired from the list by the stubby finger of Sir Alan “Charts” Sugar were Bully: Scholarship Edition and MX vs. ATV Untamed.

Here’s that UK all-formats top 40 chart in full:

  2. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii, DS)

PSP fat got stolen, so now I can get a PSP slim!

Posted on Apr 24, 2008 01:06:05 AM

Exactly 7 days ago, I was informed by my wife that our apartment had been broken into and a whole lot of our stuff had been STOLEN!

My PSP fat and 8 games were among the $3000 worth of goods the low life got away with :(

Anyway, although I was hating life by the fact that I was missing all my stuff, like my PSP, I figured it’s a good excuse to get a PSP slim! Or a PSP 2000 as they are known in Japan.

So here’s to a new beginning and a new PSP slim! I still am lacking my collection of games, so I’ll have to start again. First up might be “Everybody’s Golf 2“! Loved the first one!

Later, Stu
